What you can do here
Retention by category
Give each clinical category a retention class, such as keeping adult records for seven years or imaging permanently. Each choice explains when disposition begins. When a document passes its retention date it moves to the recycle bin automatically, ready for permanent removal after the grace period. A legal hold always pauses this.
Recycle-bin grace period
Choose how many days a deleted document can be restored before it is permanently removed. A longer window is more forgiving; a shorter one clears storage sooner.
Category suggestions
Turn on suggestions to have new uploads read for their file name and text and propose a category and tags. Suggestions are never applied automatically, and no content leaves your workspace.
External sharing
Choose whether staff may create secure links to share documents outside the workspace, and how long a new link stays valid by default. External links are always watermarked and audited; turning this off leaves in-portal sharing with patients available.
Clinician access
Choose between the described workspace-wide and care-team access options for doctors and coordinators. Patients always see only their own and shared records, whichever option you pick.
